Message from the Grand Knight

Thank you for visiting our website!
We are building a website that can be used as not only a resource for members and those who would like to become a member, but also anyone that shares in our faith.

If you are new to us, please feel free to browse around and learn more about Father John E. Doyle Council and the Knights of Columbus. Check out the "Special Interest" page for links to find out more about our founder, Father Michael J. McGivney. Anyone that is a practicing Catholic gentleman and a member of Corpus Christi Parish in Lansdale PA or St. Rose of Lima in North Wales PA is invited to join us! We take it as our responsibility to reach out to all such parishioners. If you are not a member of either parish, click on the "National" tab above to find a council near you.

Message of October 17, 2011:

Brothers:

Our council has so many great programs going on, and as your new Grand Knight, my goal for the upcoming year is to amplify the impact of all the work that our council does. As I write to you today, I am just putting together the application packet for our matching funds under the Supreme Council’s Ultrasound Program. With one fundraising event remaining, we have raised $12,740 of the $14,150 that is needed for 50% of the machine’s purchase price. (See the article inside for more details on our progress.) This program is possibly the most ambitious that our council has undertaken and we should be proud that we are the first council in the state of Pennsylvania to accomplish this.

The reason for our ongoing success is you, our members. You have taken an active role in the council’s activities and through your donations of time and money to make a difference in the parish and community. As I have interacted with other councils, it is clear that we have something special in the Fr. Doyle Council, and that leads to our success. With the start of a new fraternal year, if you have not been an active member in the recent past, I ask you to choose just one event to support during the year. If every member gets involved, our group can do even more for our community. Inside this issue you’ll see a list of our planned events for 2011-2012 and remember that the most up to date information is on our website www.kofc9715.org

Fraternally yours in Christ,
Sir Knight Matthew Lendzinski
Grand Knight
